Adelaide Street Neighbourhood Information Session

You are invited to a Neighbourhood Information Session on Wednesday September 25th, 2024, at 5:00pm at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre for discussion of the road design for Adelaide Street from Huron Street to Lambert Lane. This information session will also be livestreamed if you are unable to attend in person.

Overview

During this session certain design aspects of Adelaide Street will be discussed with those attending. Assistance will be provided from project staff through explanations of design alternatives.

The final design will take into consideration the Cottage Streets Design Guidelines and consultation with the community during this Neighbourhood Information Session.

Project

The project consists of the following:

  • The replacement of the gravity sanitary sewer and watermain
  • The installation of storm drainage/infiltration systems
  • The replacement of the asphalt paving
  • Other surface features to be determined

At this time, we cannot provide an estimate of the start date of construction; although, pending design constraints, construction could commence spring/summer of 2025. We will provide further updates with more detail once project timing is confirmed. GEI Canada has been retained to assist the Town with completing the design.

This presentation will also be live streamed on the Town of Saugeen Shores YouTube page.
