New playground coming Spring 2025

A new playground will be installed at North Shore Park in Spring 2025 as part of the North Shore Park Master Plan. The playground will be located next to the splash pad, creating a new central activity area that will also include a pavilion, gardens, and accessible space.

We asked the community to help us imagine the new North Shore Park Playground. Check out what we heard below.

Let’s build a natural, loose-parts playground!

When considering the design of the new North Shore playground, please check out the work of Bienenstock. Grandparent observations and grandchild input

My grandson loves to find the hidden objects on the equipment. It would be nice to have…

North Shore Park Playground

I am excited that North Shore Park (NSP) Rehabilitation and Shoreline Stabilization is finally gaining traction! We have lived across from the old NSP playground for over 32 years. Natural Playscape

The park at Riverside Glen in Guelph Ontario uses a neutral ground cover that is soft and has various levels to it that suit all ages. The playground in Collingwood at Sunset park is amazing, and even has a beautiful lighthouse slide. I would encourage you to visit the website or…
