Take 60 Seconds to Make Saugeen Shores Even Better
In order to get a more accurate cross-section of residents and community partners, as well as measure opinion trends over several issues, the Town is building a statistical panel.
This panel is a sample of a few hundred residents to whom we'll pose questions about different issues over a period of time. The goals are:
- to build a database of residents who want to weigh in on multiple municipal issues
- to build a database that represents a wide cross-section of residents
- to use statistical rigour to accurately measure and analyze those opinions.
Once we have enough respondents for an accurate sample size, we'll then start using the panel to measure opinion to inform Council decisions.
How does it work?
- Choose how to receive our survey: email, text or phone call.
- Wait for a notification of a new survey.
- You'll have 48 hours to participate before the vote closes.
- Once the survey closes, everyone who participated will automatically receive a summary of the results.
- You'll be able to compare your answers to the rest of the group.
Your information
The Town has hired a third party company -- FlashVote -- to gather, measure and analyze data. That means the municipality will never see who is responding or to what they are responding.
What FlashVote will do is geocode the information. That means we'll be able to see how different communities and/or neighbourhoods in Saugeen Shores respond to different issues.
Please also note that FlashVote will only use your information for Town surveys, and will not share that info with either us or third parties.
