The Town is identifying areas suitable for higher-density housing and mixed land uses to support housing variety and affordability. These areas would be subject to a Community Planning Permit (CPP) By-law, which would replace the Zoning By-law within designated areas and establish requirements for future development.

Downtown Port Elgin and Downtown Southampton are proposed as the areas to be included in the CPPS. The meeting will focus on the types of growth and development appropriate for these areas.
